Agricultural science live streaming has emerged as a new practical form of "popularizing scientific and technological resources" in China's agricultural modernization process, serving as an integrated platform for the agricultural tech-extension system. The live streaming practice of the agricultural science journal New Rural Technology demonstrates how a "composite scenario" condenses into novel "composite knowledge," which subsequently acts as a crucial driver influencing the development of "composite relationships," ultimately impacting the generation and transformation of agricultural science popularization productivity. These three elements—scenario, knowledge, and relationship—constitute the fundamental components of agricultural science live streaming. Based on this framework, the study proposes three recommendations: first, establishing a dual-site live streaming scenario to generate knowledge circulation; second, cultivating "knowledge brokers" to facilitate knowledge translation and online interaction via danmu (bullet comments); third, compliantly labeling supply-and-demand information during broadcasts and tracking subsequent supply chain linkages. These strategies offer practical guidance for transforming agricultural scientific achievements and delivering tangible benefits to farmers.
