Short science communication videos are an important part of online education for natural history museums. Using the 5W communication model, this paper analyzes the creation process of Nautilus Talk: Paleontology Restaurant series, published by Shanghai Natural History Museum on Bilibili, examining the five key elements-communicator, content, channel, audience, and effect-to identify factors that influence a video's success. This study offers insights for museum content creators on how to enhance their work's impact by building diverse creative teams, crafting high-quality content that meets audience needs, choosing platform-appropriate operational strategies, and fostering two-way communication that encourages deep audience engagement.
