In an era of globalization,cultural soft power has emerged as a vital measure of a nation’s competitiveness and its influence in global discourse. As a key vehicle for cross-cultural communication,literature plays a significant role in fostering international cultural exchange. In recent years, Liu Cixin’s science fiction novel The Three-Body Problem has garnered numerous international awards,ignited a surge in domestic sci-fi creation,and become an emblem of China’s cultural outreach. Its dissemination in East Asian nations—particularly Japan and South Korea—exhibits notable similarities,reflecting the “5W” communication model and achieving considerable impact. By examining the dissemination strategies of The Three-Body Problem in Japan and South Korea,this study provides valuable insights and practical guidance for promoting Chinese science fiction literature on the global stage.
