Alexander Belyaev was an outstanding science fiction writer in the Soviet Union, known as the "father of soviet science fiction". The writer combined science fantasy with social reality, concerned with the issue of scientific ethics. Many of his works depict the personal and social tragedies caused by the misuse of science and technology by "science maniacs", and on this basis, they reflect on the ethical dilemmas and identity problems faced by the "Other", conveying the idea of guiding scientific choices with a humanitarian spirit.
