To explore the clinical efficacy and safety research on children with anorexia-spleen deficiency and dyspepsia based on Ganji Powder combined with Zengshi Oral Paste.
Children with anorexia attending the outpatient clinic of Tongling Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital from July 2022 to December 2023 were selected for the study, and were divided into four groups using the random number table method; the Saccharomyces boulardii group (36 cases) was treated with a single Saccharomyces boulardii orally, the Ganji Powder group (41 cases) was treated with Ganji Powder externally applied to the acupoints alone, the Zengshi Oral Paste group (49 cases) was treated with Zengshi Oral Paste orally alone, and the combined group used the The combined group was treated with Ganji Powder applied externally to two acupoints, Shenque and Mingmen, and combined with Zengshi Oral Paste (an in-hospital preparation). All four groups were treated for one treating course. The clinical efficacy of the children in the four groups, the time for the children's food intake to return to normal and the amount of increase in body mass, the points of Chinese medicine symptoms, the level of nutritional indexes, the adverse reactions and the six-month follow-up were observed.
The total effective rate was 89.47% (68/76) in the combined group, 58.33% (21/36) in the Saccharomyces boulardii group, 70.73% (29/41) in the Ganji Powder group, and 75.51% (37/49) in the Zengshi Oral Paste group. The total effective rate of the combined group and the time for the return of the normal food intake and the increase of the body mass of the children, the Chinese medicine symptom scores of the main evidence and the secondary evidence, the tongue and pulse, and the levels of the proteins, the body fats, the muscle mass, the basal metabolic rate, the transferrin, the retinol-binding protein, the pre-albumin Nutritional indicators such as protein, body fat, muscle mass, basal metabolic rate, transferrin, retinol-binding protein, prealbumin, haemoglobin, average haemoglobin content and dihydroxyvitamin D were all better than those of the Saccharomyces boulardii group, the noma group and the Zengshi Oral Paste group (P <0.05, P < 0.01); All indicators of the Ganji Powder and Zengshi Oral Paste were superior to those of Saccharomyces boulardii group. (P <0.05). There were no serious adverse reaction situations during the treatment period of each group, and the relapse rate of the combined group was the lowest after six months of follow-up.
The treatment of children's anorexia with spleen deficiency and dyspepsia based on Ganji Powder and Zengshi Oral Paste can significantly reduce children's clinical symptoms, and the children's gastrointestinal function recovered well, with a significant clinical effect and high safety.
