Objective: To observe and analyze the clinical efficacy of Professor Wu Min's anti - allergy Formula from from Shanghai - style Xu's Pediatrics in treating pediatric allergic rhinitis. Methods: A total of 136 pediatric patients with allergic rhinitis treated at Xinhua Hospital Affiliated to Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine and Youyi Community Health Service Center from December 2020 to December 2023 were collected and randomly divided into a treatment group (68 cases, loratadine tablets + anti - allergy Formula) and a control group (68 cases, loratadine tablets). Serum immune indicators and inflammatory factor levels in nasal secretions were measured and compared between the two groups. Symptom improvement and clinical efficacy were evaluated, and adverse reactions were recorded. Results: After treatment, the total serum immunoglobulin (Ig) E and the ratio of helper T cells (Th) 17/regulatory T cells (Treg) in the treatment group were significantly lower than those in the control group (P < 0.05). The interleukin (IL) - 4 level in nasal secretions of the treatment group was significantly lower than that of the control group (P <0.05), while the IL - 10 level was significantly higher (P < 0.05). After treatment, the scores for nasal congestion, nasal itching, runny nose, and sneezing in the treatment group were significantly lower than those in the control group (P <0.05). The total effective rate in the treatment group was significantly higher than that in the control group (P < 0.01). There was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions such as gastrointestinal symptoms and skin reactions between the treatment group and the control group (P >0.05).Conclusion: Professor Wu Min's anti - allergy Formula is highly effective in treating pediatric allergic rhinitis, regulating immune function, reducing inflammatory responses, alleviating symptoms such as nasal congestion and itching, and demonstrating high safety.
