Diabetic nephropathy falls under the category of″Xiaoke Kidney disease″in traditional Chinese medicine and is considered a challenging condition resulting from prolonged and unresolved Xiaoke disease.Professor Nan Zheng believes that the key pathogenesis of Xiaoke Kidney disease lies in ″Toxin-induced damage to the Kidney collateral″.In clinical practice，the development of Xiaoke Kidney disease is analyzed from perspective of″Wind Toxin″as a pathogenic factor and its pathogenesis is explored.The treatment principle of″dispelling Wind and detoxifying as well as unblocking collateral network and protecting Kidney″is proposed.This approach emphasizes diagnosing the cause，considering treatment according to the cause，addressing the root of the disease as well as balancing both symptom relief and root treatment.
