Brexucabtagene autoleucel (Bre-cel) is an anti-CD19 chimeric antigen receptor (CAR)-T cell drug, developed by Kite Pharmaceuticals. Bre-cel (Tecartus) was approved for the treatment of adult patients with relapsed or refractory mantle cell lymphoma (MCL) by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration on July 24th, 2020. Bre-cel is the first drug of CAR-T cell gene therapy for MCL. This review summarizes the pharmacological effect, pharmacokinetics, clinical trials and safety of Bre-cel.
