In this paper, it is introduced two functions, automatic control of position and the thickness in the roll gap control system, and the automatic position control scheme for the electric pressing and hydraulic pressing of the heavy plate mill in Baotou Steel, and AGC have compensation on head and zero position. Finally, the method for improving measuring accuracy of HCG cylinder and the low utilization rate of the roller is introduced to solve the problems encountered in the production.
