In this paper, the control mode and regulation mode of gas cooling system are analyzed in detail, the improvement scheme is put forward and implemented in view of the large energy consumption of the unit caused by the temperature influence of the combustion medium in the operation of M701S gas-steam combined cycle power plant in Baotou Steel. The improved system realized the optimization of the combustion medium during the operation of the unit and finally made the unit running in the most stable and economical conditions.
