The NOX in sintering process is mainly from the fuel burning. In this paper, the effects of different amount of urea, CaO and starch as additive to pretreat coke powder for sintering on emission of NOX in sintering process and the indexes of sinter were studied by sinter pot test. The results showed that when the amount of additive is 0%~1.0%, the more the urea is added, the more obvious the effect of reducing emission of NOX is, the effect of changing the amount of added CaO on inhibiting generation of NOX is not great, the emission of NOX is more by adding starch and the effect of adding amount on the increment is not great as well as the effect of amount of additive on changing the sintering indexes in this range is not great.
