The main power equipment of combined cycle power plant in metallurgical enterprises is the gas turbine, which can burn the blast furnace gas with low heating value. In this paper, the applications and development of gas-steam integral unit are considered to be necessary in metallurgical enterprises through introducing the applications, advantages and characteristics of combined cycle power plant, analyzing its development trend as well as the economic and social benefits of using the gas surplus in metallurgical enterprises.
