Some of the sludge and debris will flow with the water from water pump inlet into system when suction well of industrial circulating water system is in normal operation, resulting in pipeline filter clogging and production line nozzle clogging. In the paper, it is analyzed reasons for the entry of sludge into suction well and introduced the method of adding fender weir, and the concrete method and application example of installing fender weir in suction well. Practice has proved that the fender weir can effectively prevent sludge from inhalation into water supply system.
