This paper aimed to explore the mechanism and empirical effect of agricultural green innovation on the integration of rural industries. Based on theoretical analysis, research hypotheses were proposed, and an empirical test was conducted using provincial panel data of China from 2010 to 2023. The focus was on examining the influence mechanism and regional heterogeneity. The study found that agricultural green innovation had a significant promoting effect on the overall integration of rural industries, but there were regional differences. The eastern and central regions showed a positive effect, while the western region exhibited a restraining effect. The mechanism analysis indicated that agricultural green innovation mainly promoted rural industry integration through reducing energy consumption. The research conclusion provided empirical evidence for understanding the role of agricultural green innovation in regional coordinated development.
