Latest ArticlesScience museums in advanced countries generally have a set of comprehensive operation mechanism to ensure their survival and development. With respect to money-collecting, the primary funding channels are government funds, social financing and outsourcing donation. For evaluation system, normative authentication and diversified assessments play a key role to promote the performance of the museums. This article analyses the successful practices of science museums in this regard and reveals some feasible implications to their Chinese counterparts on the basis of comparison.

Science popularization in universities is an important component of the entire Chinese science popularization enterprise, which is not only a requirement in era of science, but also the strategic issue regarding the promotion of national scientific and cultural quality, and the enhancement of the nation's comprehensive strength and international competitiveness. Based on the theoretical and practical study of science popularization in universities, this article systematically discusses how to make science popularization more attractive in universities, and how to inject the social function of science into science popularization innovation career. Reflections on development of science popularization are also proposed.
In this article, we have analyzed MIT's current efforts to communicate science and technology to the public as well as the relationships between its mission and efforts. We conclude that an academic institution or university may do well in public science communication, and we may learn a lot from MIT's efforts to improve the practice for science popularization by scientific and educational communities.
Museums, memorial museums and National Educational Bases for Patriotism have gradually opened to the public free of charge. The opening of science & technology museum to the public free of charge is a matter of time only. This paper deals with issues such as why science & technology museum should open to the public free of charge, how to run such a museum, and how to make room for greater development in the process of opening.
At present mass media is developed, animated cartoon is one major channel for children to know the world, watching animated cartoons selectively have been a part of home education. Fore and after the school age is the best time to develop the creativity, this paper helps parents to select the wholesome cartoons through taking one classical cartoon as example, in this way, children's multiple character will be optimized, observation ability and imagination ability could be cultured, curiosity will be kept, and children can seek the answers independently. At last, children's creativity latent will be exploited adequately in the pleasure.
