Before the advent of the word “Science”, “Ge Zhi” basically referred to the meaning of science and technology. But there was “Scientific Romance”, almost no “Ge Zhi Novel”. By studying the origin of late Qing “Scientific Romance”, we can not only understand people’s opinions and expectations of “Scientific Romance”, but also restore the multi-faceted history, and thus have a more specific understanding of the situation of early Chinese Science Fiction.
Science museums take a very important position in scientific knowledge and scientific culture communication. As the demands of society and the public have been changing, the practice of science communication in science museums is also changing, including the fuzzification of boundary between the subject and object, the diversification of communication media using and so on. This paper tries to sort through the elements of communicating activities in science museums, analyzes the transition of the communication elements, and discusses the communication mode of science museums and their characteristics from the standpoint of evolvement of communication elements.
Based on the consideration of theory, practice and the demanding for the talents team for science popularization (TTSP) in the process of Chinese social and economic development, the authors argued that China should carry out the project of constructing the talents team for science popularization (PCTTSP), which includes: constructing a strong root TTSP through training and educating, which will serve for the root community and building the new countryside; rapidly developing the volunteers in TTSP; emphasizing on cultivating the qualified and specialized TTSP, that is, people who are professional staff working in the museums for science and technology popularization and communication, science writers, exhibition designers, personnel of research and development, media workers for science popularization and communication, managers of science popularization and communication enterprises, organizers and developers of science popularization activities, and other innovative TTSP.
The paper analyzes education mechanism at the present time and proposes the question about early talent training in high school in China according to “Qian Xuesen’s Question” discussed the early cultivating model and study task on science and techology innovational talent, and gives an example for the practice process in Beijing No. 35 high school.
As a new scientific community force, science blogs are playing a more and more significant role in science communication by exploring in the forefront of promoting the public understanding of science. Based on the analysis of the development of science blogs and their features, this paper focuses on why and how science blogs can affect the public understanding in terms of dimensions of the communication model, content (scientific affairs), information sender (scientists) and receiver (the public). It will also discuss the trend of science blogs in the coming world of information. Carried by science blogs and mass media, a new scientific communication ecosystem is being formed.
