This paper, based on a famous journal named Science Communication and data from Social Sciences Citation Index in the USA, draws a whole knowledge frame of modern science communication research. Meanwhile, using the techniques and theories of mapping knowledge domains in Science-meteorology, the paper explores the knowledge structure of science communication. The basic frame in science communication and its related knowledge domains are visualized.

This paper analyses the data of public scientific literacy survey performed in China in 2005 and processed the feedback questionnaires by scoring the respondents answers. Using SPSS to take gender into consideration, the author analyses the relation between sociodemographic variables and scientific literacy and establishes four multiple linear regression models.

Through the referring of data, the fieldwork, and the quantitative and qualitative survey, this paper investigates the health popularization condition of denizens in the countryside of LiaoNing province, the denizens in ShenYang community and builders of the countryside in Beijing. It is showed that there are some differences on the demand, the evaluation and selection of method in the health science popuplarization among the denizens in countryside, those in community and the builders in countryside, which suggested that the content of health popularization should be revised and its method and management should be improved as well.

This paper preliminarily investigated the general situation on science communication of Shen Daily, one of the earliest founded modern newspapers in China, from its launch to the “September 18th Incident”. The Shen Daily was thought to play a certain role in communicating science to Chinese mass in the early 20th century.
