This study adopts the literature research method to systematically sort out and summarize the literature related to the Law on Popularization of Science and Technology from the aspects of the implement countermeasures, problems existing in the implementation, social value, and achieved concrete results of the Law on Popularization of Science and Technology, in order to have a deep understanding of the implementation of the Law on Popularization of Science and Technology, and to clarify the impact of the Law on Popularization of Science and Technology on the development of science popularization in China. With the development of the times and the emergence of new situations, the Law on Popularization of Science and Technology gradually shows its lag. Its amendment has become a hot topic of research in recent years. This paper analyzes the literature related to the amendment of the law and clarifies the necessity of the amendment of the Law on Popularization of Science and Technology and how to amend the law. On this basis, it points out the prospect of future research.
