Given the fact that the teaching quality of the school is relatively weak and the students are usually afraid of the chemical learning to come, in order to eliminate the students' fear of learning chemical knowledge and enhance their enthusiasm for studying, the research group has innovatively explored the ways of compiling chemical popular science textbooks and carrying out popular science activities in summer camp based on the scenes of A Dream of Red Mansions. This paper applied the form of character dialogue to draw out relevant chemical knowledge, and design interesting chemical experiments to attract students to participate effectively. The practice shows that embedding scientific knowledge into students' relatively familiar scenes helps eliminate students' worries and fears about scientific knowledge learning, raise students' interest and enthusiasm in learning, and is of great value to carry out STEM education as well as to improve scientific literacy. This paper introduces the design idea and implementation process of “Beautiful Chemistry in A Dream of Red Mansions” science popularization summer camp, and analyzed the effect of this activities.
