    The microstructure and texture of ingot blank, hot rolled steel plate, cold rolled steel plate and annealed plate are studied with the optical microscope (OM) and X-ray diffractometer (XRD) as well as the magnetic properties are tested with magnetic tester. The results showed that the central equiaxial crystal ratio of continuous casting billet could reach 44.5% with electromagnetic stirring, surface structure of hot rolled steel plate was with perfect recrystallization by adopting high temperature coiling process and average grain size was 28.5 μm as well as the microstructure in the center of hot rolled steel plate was with interlaced composition of recrystallized grain and long strip shape banded microstructure and average grain size of annealed plate was 74.2 μm. The distribution of texture in the thickness direction of hot rolled steel plate is uneven. The surface textures are mainly brass texture and goss texture, textures of 1/4 layer are mainly {100} and {112} components, central textures are mainly {100} and {110} components as well as textures of annealed plate are mainly composed of {111} and weaker {100} planar textures. The magnetic property of sample plate of finished product randomly drawn is measured with the Epstein square method and the results could meet user requirements.

    The 4# slip mass in area D of the main stope of Bayan Obo Iron Mine is above the fixed transport corridor of 1 458 m to 1 430 m of the main line of stope as well as it is mainly composed by piling up loose gravel and dimension stone so that the larger and extremely unstable slope structure is formed, which directly threatens the safety production of lower part. If it is not treated in time, it will cause to suspend production in the whole stope. The treatment scheme of taking the 1 542 m platform as dividing line of step by step governance, adopting the method of cutting slope and reducing load at upper part as well as adopting the cleaning and reinforcement of slope at lower part is established through actual investigation and analysis of current situations for 4# slip mass. The expected goals and effects are completely achieved after implement the treatment scheme so that the conditions of safety production at lower part are effectively improved, which could be as reference in future slope treatment.

    The fuel ratio is the main economic and technical index for blast furnace ironmaking, so it is of great significance for energy conservation and emission reduction of enterprise to reduce it. In this paper, the reasons for high fuel ratio of 6# blast furnace of Baotou Steel are analyzed. After the overhaul and blow-in of 6# blast furnace, the fuel ratio of blast furnace is reduced through taking such measures as tackling key problems in improving production to stabilize the feed of blast furnace, improving quality of raw fuel, strictly controlling differential pressure in blast furnace operation, adjusting charging system, stabilizing high blast temperature, reasonable use of enriched oxygen and coal injection as well as strengthening basic management. The cumulative fuel ratio in 2021 was 545.84 kg/t, which was 10.58 kg/t lower than that in 2020.

    The changes of morphology, component and size for non-metallic inclusions in smelting process are studied with metalloscope and scanning electron microscope-energy spectrum analysis by sampling in each link of technological process of heavy rail. The results showed that the non-metallic inclusions in smelting process were spherical and their main components were CaO-SiO2-MgO-Al2O3 as well as the proportion of content for each component was changed regularly with technological links, sizes were decreased gradually and quantity was reduced with the advance of technological process. The main source of inclusions in rail could be judged according to the change laws of components for inclusions in each process of smelting process for heavy rail. It could be inferred that the large size inclusions in heavy rail steel are compound inclusions composed of deoxidation product that is not upfloated combining with foreign inclusions during continuous casting process by analyzing the scanning electron microscope-energy spectrum detection results for large size inclusions in heavy rail.

    In the paper, the design thought and development of Φ73 mm pass series for FQM (Fine Quality Mill)-Φ100 mm mandrel pipe mill with six stands are mainly introduced. When design this series of pass of mandrel pipe mill, the “distribution method of coefficient of elongation on top of pass” is adopted so that the applications of development technology of minimum pass series of mandrel pipe mill with retained mandrel are realized. The industrial results showed that the wall thickness accuracy of seamless steel pipe produced by the pass of mandrel pipe mill designed with this technology is within±8% as well as the internal and external surface qualities of steel pipe are good.

    The trace amount of refining grain elements are added into carbon manganese steel as well as the heat treatment method of quenching and tempering is applied in production based on the standard. The mass production results showed that the mechanical properties could meet requirements and toughness was good. After the heat treatment of quenching and tempering, the yield strength of steel tube is not less than 500 MPa, tensile strength is not less than 620 MPa, longitudinal elongation is not less than 20%, average longitudinal impact value at -20 ℃ is not less than 180 J and the performances could meet customer's requirements; carbon equivalent is controlled below 0.44 to ensure the subsequent weldability.

    The pipeline steel is mainly used for transportation of oil and natural gas as well as the acid service condition means that there are such acidic mediums as H2S,CO2 and H+ in application environment, so pipeline steel in acid service condition is the pipeline steel with resistance to hydrogen induced corrosion cracking. In the paper, the development and industrial production of X46MS hot rolled coil are mainly introduced. The development includes chemical components, hot rolling process and production technology process as well as the performance tests include pulling, bending, impact, hardness, metallography, non-metallic inclusions and hydrogen induced cracking (HIC). The test results showed that the chemical components and process design of X46MS hot rolled coil in acid service condition were reasonable as well as it was with pure steel, well-closed formation and excellent mechanical properties, especially the resistance to hydrogen induced cracking.

    In this paper, the chemical composition and production process are designed according to the technical requirements of cold rolled 980 MPa martensitic steel as well as the study of its annealing process in laboratory is carried out with pilot-scale test platform. The study results showed that the yield strength was 750~940 MPa, tensile strength reached over 1 020 MPa and elongation was over 10% for the products of cold rolled 980 MPa martensitic steel produced with the same chemical composition and rolling process through adjusting the slow cooling temperature of annealing, which could meet technical requirements. The effect laws of slow cooling temperature on microstructure and properties of cold rolled 980 MPa martensitic steel are clear and definite as well as the soaking temperature is determined to be 800 ℃,slow cooling rate is determined to be 3 ℃/s, rapid cooling rate is determined to be 45 ℃/s and the optimum slow cooling temperature is determined to be 680 ℃ when rapid cooling temperature is 280 ℃ with the composition system combining with the microstructure and mechanical properties of finished products.

    The static continuous cooling transformation (CCT) curves of N80 grade steel for ERW oil casing with and without Mo are determined by Formaster-F full automatic phase transformation meter as well as the microstructures of the two types of steel at different cooling rates are observed with optical microscope. The results showed that the critical points of test steels of N80 grade steel for ERW oil casing, Ac1 and Ac3 were basically not affected by Mo element as well as the critical cooling rate for test steel 1 and 2 to start generating martensitic structure was 8 ℃/s. The interval range of cooling rate for bainite transformation of the test steels is expanded due to addition of Mo element and their microstructures are refined.

    The causes of cracks are analyzed through the observation with metalloscope and scanning electron microscopy aiming at the problem that product quality is affected by the microcracks on surfaces of web and flange of Q420NHB weathering resistant H-shaped steel. The results showed that the surface defects of flange were caused by the subcracks and intercrystalline cracks on inner arc of ingot blank, while the surface defects of web were caused by the pressfit of scale on surface of ingot blank during rolling process. The surface quality of weathering resistant H-shaped steel is effectively improved through optimizing the cooling process of crystallizer and rolling technology during continuous casting process.

    The Φ7.3 mm wire rod without drawing for high-speed wire rod is rolled successfully by reasonable roll pass and guide designs as well as optimization of control process aiming at the individual requirements of it in market combining with the characteristics of the fifth-generation Morgan high-speed wire rod mill. As a result, the usage requirements of users could be satisfied very well and product mix of the fifth-generation Morgan high-speed wire rod mill is widened, which could provide the references for developing like products subsequently as well as a brand new market is exploited and the green production in the whole process of industry is realized.

    The phase transformation law is analyzed through determining the transformation kinetics curve of supercooled austenite for U71Mn steel. The effects of cooling rate and finish cooling temperature on microstructure and hardness are studied with the thermal simulation tests of sectional type cooling strengthening based on the heat treatment process of rails on site. The results showed that the critical cooling rate of perlitic transformation for U71Mn steel was 7 ℃/s and temperature range allowing perlitic transformation was 500~600 ℃. The reasonable process parameters of sectional type cooling for U71Mn steel were that the starting cooling temperature was 850 ℃, cooling rates was 6~12 ℃/s and finish cooling temperature was 570 ℃. The perlite structrure could be obtained with this process parameter and it could meet the hardness requirements of rails.

    The causes for lower qualified rate of transverse low temperature impact toughness at -20 ℃ of SM490YB hot-rolled H beam for offshore oil platform are analyzed with such instrument and equipment as the optical microscope, scanning electron microscope and energy spectrometer. The results showed that the poorer low temperature impact toughness of test steel was caused by large Al2O3 inclusion, harder bainite structure, coarse grain and banded structure in the steel. The transverse low temperature impact toughness at -20 ℃ of test steel is improved obviously and qualified rate of impact at -20 ℃ is increased from 80% to 100% by reducing carbon content of test steel as well as optimizing smelting and rolling processes so that the grain size and inclusions of test steel are refined as well as types of microstructure are optimized.

    The S450J0 steel pile is vanadium nitrogen alloy steel in H section steel family as well as it is with such characteristics as high strength, heavy gauge, good impact toughness and weldability. In the paper, its key technologies and processes are mainly introduced. The composition of steel is designed as well as the relevant smelting, continuous casting and rolling processes are formulated based on the performance requirements of products. The production practices show that the composition design of S450J0 is reasonable and products could meet the requirements of technical agreement. The technical difficulties are the stable control of high nitrogen content in industrial productions and rolling of heavy gauge with small compression ratio.

    In the paper, such aspects as the design thoughts, principles and methods of evacuation lighting and standby lighting in electrical room of steelshop are elaborated by taking GB 51309—2018 Technical Standard of Emergency Lighting and Evacuation Indicating System for Fire Fighting as the design consideration combining with the design process of converter project in a steelshop. The necessary illumination and accurate evacuation information are provided for safe evacuation of personnel so that it is ensured through selecting reasonable emergency evacuation lighting control system for fire fighting as well as power supply and distribution scheme of lamps and lanterns.

    The spindle of gang saw, running and positioning of baffle trolley are driven by four Siemens servo motors as well as the control system is 611U frequency converter. The Siemens 611U frequency converter has gone out of production, so the spare parts purchase is difficult and manufacturing cost is high. The spare parts of S120 frequency converter that is widely used in field are universal and it is with easy maintenance. A lot of downtime caused by main drive system failure could be avoided by using the S120 system as backup system of 611U system to synchronize data and switch flexibly so as to avoid affecting productions. After adopt the new S120 system as backup system, the safe operations of production line is ensured, production capacity and maintenance efficiency of equipment are improved as well as the equipment is upgraded and reformed so that the service life and cycle are extended.

The business indicators are improved and business decisions are supported through effectively using data internally; the management efficiency of enterprise is improved and marketing is assisted through constructing client portrait and dissecting customer transactions externally.

    In the paper, the design, main components and features of high pressure water descaling system in the production line of heavy plate of Baotou Steel are introduced and analyzed. Moreover, the system equipment is improved based on the experiences of on-site maintenance and fault handling for high pressure water system in the production line, which is with greater reference significances for the design, maintenance, fault diagnosis and optimization of high pressure water descaling system in the production line of heavy plate.

    In order to improve the safety management level of company, Baoshan Mining Co. has established and implemented the “235” safety management system that “establish such two systems as workplace safety responsibility system and supervision system of performing duties as the core, strengthen the construction of such three basic systems engineering as safety production standardization, working mechanism of double prevention and safety construction of work team as well as summarize and promote such five types of advanced experiences of safety management as behavior observation, negative list system, five management procedures for breaking rules and regulations, tracing analysis of hidden dangers and accidents and comprehensive evaluation of interested parties”. Baoshan Mining Co. has achieved the goal that there were not any liability accidents of minor injuries or more serious results in 2021 through implementing the new management system.

    In the paper, the falling accident caused by stomping on color plate is analyzed with fault tree. It is with the qualitative and quantitative analysis through drawing fault tree and successful tree as well as the fault tree is simplified with the Boolean algebra principles so as to obtain the minimum cut set and path set, probability of occurrence of top event, importance degree of basic event structure of fault tree as well as important links of accidents so as to provide the basis for preventing accidents. The results showed that the casualty accidents of falling caused by stomping on color plate were mainly due to such factors as ineffective safety belts, damaged upholder, stomping on color plate and loss of balance of body so that the measures should be taken to control them.

    In this paper, it is analyzed the essential differences between cost budgeting with ERP system and traditional cost budgeting as well as discussed the advantages of ERP system in cost budgeting based on its characteristics in the cost budgeting process of iron and steel enterprise combining with the actual production of an iron and steel enterprise. The degree of participation and work efficiency of all staff in cost budgeting are significantly improved by the high synergy and efficiency of ERP system in production practices, which could provide timelier and more reliable data for deploying production decisions of company.

    In the paper, it is introduced the mineralogical characteristics of minerals named by geographical names and person names in Bayan Obo ore deposit. There were once 7 kinds of minerals named by geographical names, but 3 kinds are confirmed at last as well as there are 5 kinds of minerals named by person names. They are all new minerals, of which the Nioboixiolite-(□) is the most recently approved new mineral. The minerals named by geographical names are with not only their own narrow mineralogical meanings, but also other generalized meanings. The narrow meaning of minerals named by geographical names refers to just a specific kind of mineral, while their generalized meaning usually refers to various ores produced in the region.
