They were divided into a control group (doxycycline) and an observation group (control group treatment plus acupoint application) using a random number table method, with 60 cases in each group. The treatment course was 10 days. The therapeutic efficacy, symptom disappearance time, hospitalization duration, traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) syndrome scores, inflammatory factors [D - dimer (D - D), interleukin - 6(IL - 6), erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR), immunoglobulin - E (IgE), and C - reactive protein (CRP)], and adverse reactions were observed in both groups.Results: The total effective rate in the observation group was higher than that in the control group (P < 0.05). The time to symptom disappearance and the hospitalization duration in the observation group were shorter than those in the control group (P < 0.05). After treatment, the TCM syndrome scores and serum levels of inflammatory factors in the observation group were lower than those in the control group (P <0.01).
