In the paper, the factors that affect the temperature drop of molten iron in torpedo car, such as the charge weight of molten iron, the thickness of brick lining for torpedo ladle, the operating time of empty tank and heavy tank that are analyzed through living examples. Measures have been put forward to reduce the temperature drop through which the temperature drop rate of molten iron in torpedo ladle can be effectively controlled proved by practice.
