Outline
In the paper, it is analyzed the causes and summarized the treatment experiences for temperature increase of 5# blast furnace hearth sidewall of Baotou Steel. As a result, it is effectively controlled within a safe range by implementing the furnace protection measures and adding titaniferous furnace burden for furnace protection so that the safe production and long service life of blast furnace are ensured.
