In the paper, the safe and stable production practices of 5# blast furnace of Baotou Steel at later stage of campaign are summarized. The safe production and stable trouble-free operation of furnace condition are realized by continually optimizing operation system and adopting effective furnace protection measures with the actual production conditions that there are more harmful elements in raw material, coke quality decline gradually and the blast furnace is at later stage of campaign.
