In the paper, the production practices of sintering with dry distillation coal instead of coke powder were studied. The results showed that after adding the small dry distillation coal into sinter, the solid fuel consumption tended toward reducing with the increase of substitution proportion; drum index of sinter was decreased slightly with the increase of proportion of small dry distillation coal. Analyzed from the perspective of environmental protection emission, the purification system load was aggravated, dehydrating effect became worse, smoke of gas desulfurization system was gray and trailed seriously when the proportion of small dry distillation coal reached 70%. Thus, it is more reasonable that the proportion of small dry distillation coal replacing coke powder is controlled below 50% of total fuel.
