In the paper, it is introduced production status for hot rolled coil of 22 mm X80 pipeline steel which are trial produced in 2 250 mm hot rolling production line of Baotou Steel. High strength and toughness X80 pipeline steel hot rolled coil with acicular ferrite are produced by using the design of alloying composition of low carbon, high w [Mn+Nb], w [Mo+ Cr+Cu], applying smelting technology of clean steel in Baotou Steel, heating technology of differentiation, constant speed rolling technology and cooling control technology of efficient encryption laminar flow. The strength and toughness index of the coil meets the requirements.
