Since blow-in in 2015, the No.8 blast furnace in Iron-making Plant of Rare Earth Steel Plate Co. in Baotou Steel has been running in good condition. However, the airflow distribution changes in March 2016, piping problems increased significantly and affected the furnace condition, the economic and technical indexes become worse. In this paper, the causes of the abnormal airflow distribution are analyzed and the measures taken during the abnormal period are summarized.
