In the paper, the types and structural characteristics of distributing chute in recent years are summarized by analyzing its current operating conditions in Baotou Steel. Moreover, such two aspects as its material and structure are studied and improved by analyzing its failure mode and causes so as to enhance its wear resistance at high temperature environment and further improve its on-line service life, which could meet the process requirements of blast furnace production.
