The source, composition and treatment technology of waste water and gas produced in the process of manufacturing single rare earth carbonate with rare earth ore concentrate of Bayan Obo of Baotou by such processes as high-temperature roasting of concentrated sulfuric acid, water leaching, transformation, extraction and carbon deposition are elaborated. In this paper, its resource process route is analyzed based on the long-term research trial on treatment technology of waste water and gas as well as combining with the actual production conditions of industrialization for its treatment technology, which is hoped to play a positive role in green sustainable development of rare earth industry.
