In this paper, the 600 MPa high-strength lightweight automobile beam steel is mainly studied combining with the technology and equipment conditions for 2 250 mm hot rolling production line of Baotou Steel. The BT610L beam steel with fine grain, good strength and toughness and formability was successfully developed with the alloying design of low C, Nb and Ti through laboratory research, industrialized trial production and process optimization.
