In this paper, the mechanical properties of U75V heat treated rail were tested in accordance with the Russian standard ГОСТ Р 51685-2013. The results showed that the tensile property of rail after tempering could meet requirements of the Russian standard ОТ350HH for low temperature resistant rail and impact performance is lower than standard requirements. This is mainly because the chemical composition and heat treatment process of steel are different.
