In order to meet the rapid growth of demanding light weight automobile wheel steel, Baotou Steel has developed such two wheel steel series products as the dual-phase steel and low alloy high strength steel with 2 250 mm hot rolling production line. They are with different chemical components, production technologies, micro structures and mechanical properties, which could meet the requirements of customers with different processing capabilities. The wheel steels developed by Baotou Steel have all passed such reliability tests as the fatigue test and road test as well as been promoted into the market and the service conditions of users are good.
