In this article, it is introduced the hidden dangers found by on-site safety inspection of 15 small and medium-sized metallurgical non-ferrous enterprises in a west area are with classification and tabulate statistics in accordance with the Judgment Criteria of Major Potential Accidents in Industrial and Trading Enterprises and the Classification and Codes of Hazardous and Harmful Factors in Production Process. Moreover, the own problems of small and medium-sized metallurgical non-ferrous enterprises, mutual problems of enterprises as well as their causes are further analyzed with the function of pivot table of Excel combining with data analysis aiming at the current situations of safety work in enterprises. As a result, a series of measures and suggestions for improvement are proposed for safe development of enterprises and regional industries, which are with reference significances for improving safety management and compliance in large-scale metallurgical non-ferrous enterprises and other industrial and trading enterprises.
