The chemical composition of S450J0 high strength hot rolled steel pile is designed as well as the smelting and rolling processes are formulated based on mechanism of action of vanadium and nitrogen on steel. Moreover, the effects of yield of vanadium alloy and nitrogen as well as finishing temperature in smelting process on vanadium nitrogen steel are analyzed based on the industrial production data. Finally, the European standard high strength S450J0 hot rolled steel pile with heavy gauge as well as ferrite and pearlite is obtained. All the product properties could meet standard requirements.
