In this paper, the basic characteristic indexes for serpentine of Hanzhong are studied. The proportioning and adding scheme for serpentine of Hanzhong instead of serpentine of Nanyang is put forward according to the basic characteristics and physical and chemical indexes of the mine as well as the production is carried out on the 500 m2 sintering machine of Baotou Steel. The production results showed that the physical and chemical indexes and metallurgical performances of sinter were improved by proportioning and adding serpentine of Hanzhong compared with serpentine of Nanyang as well as the solid fuel consumption of sinter increased.
