Outline
The fluorite is widely distributed in the mining area of Bayan Obo. Its degrees of mineralization are different for each ore block, so it is classified as "four generations". The distribution characteristics of fluorite in different generations are studied by means of microscope, XRD and SEM, which prove that the radioactive element Th makes fluorite with the optical property of anisotropism and it has direct influence on the replacement of Ca with Sc.
