In the paper, it is introduced the characteristics that mineral effect and matrix effect of samples might be eliminated by melting samples with borate so that the fused beads of sinter and pellet samples were prepared. The calibration curves were established with optimum working conditions of X-ray fluorescence spectrometer and series of standard samples. The cobalt is as the internal standard element of Fe to simultaneously determine such five components as TFe, CaO, SiO2, MgO and P in sinter and pellet. The test results showed that the relative standard deviation (RSD, n = 11) of the five components was 0.50%~4.10% as well as the measured values were basically the same as certified values, which could effectively guide site productions.
