In the paper, the vibrations of every measure point for generator set are analyzed with the spectral analysis and the related fault diagnosis theory through collecting the four channels time domain waveform aiming at the difficalt startup after the overhaul of TRT generator set of 5# blast furnace in Iron-making Plant of Baotou Steel. It is found that the imbalance of couple causes the disorder of shafting so that the equipment is abnormal. The effects of imbalance of couple on shafting are effectively eliminated by introducing the online dynamic balance technology in the treatment of vibrations of generator on site.
