In this paper, it is mainly discussed that with the background of promoting transformation and upgrading, improving quality and efficiency for the iron and steel enterprises in new age as well as the guide of high-quality development strategy for Baotou Steel, Iron-making Plant has established the management framework of "ensure safety, environmental protection and stable trouble-free operations of blast furnace, improve technological and economical indicators, reduce costs of pig iron and change work style". There is rapid great progress in production and management, safety and environmental protection as well as technology quality through further promoting the management and technological innovations, which open up a new situation for high-quality development of Iron-making Plant and lay a solid foundation for turning loss into gain of Baotou Steel.
