In this paper, it is introduced the early-stage preparation, scheme formulation and rapid recovery of long term blowing-down for the No.7 blast furnace in Baotou Steel. Through the analysis of the condition before blowing-down, the implementation of heat insulation during blowing-down and the response of influencing factors in the recovery process, by deep study and practice of the large-scale blast furnace blowing-down and recovery, a quick recovery method which is close to the quantification and standardization to achieve the purpose of rapid recovery of furnace condition is proposed.
