With the vigorous development of the automobile industry, the environmental pollution problem of internal combustion engine vehicles has become prominent day by day, especially the front-rear drive vehicles with large displacement engines. Influenced by increasingly stringent fuel consumption and emission regulations, influential automobile enterprisesat home and abroad have turned to the hybrid technology for front-reardrive vehicles. Through the investigation and research on the existing energy-saving technologies of hybrid electric vehicles, this paper summarized the typical front-rear drive hybrid electric vehicles and technological solutions, analyzed the powertrain architecture principle, key assembly parameters, advantages and disadvantages of hybrid technologies as well as the future development trends and challenges.Promoting technological level and development are major trends for front-rear drive hybrid electric vehicles.
