In order to gain an in-depth understanding of the cockpit Augmented Reality Head-Up Display (AR-HUD) technologies and provide support for the future development of automotive intelligence, through literature research, technical analysis, case study and other methods, this paper systematically sorts out the domestic and foreign standards, regulations, technical characteristics and industrialization process of cockpit AR-HUD technologies. Moreover, the development status of HUD technologies is analyzed and the application prospect of AR-HUD technologies in intelligent cockpit is discussed in combination with industry development trends. The results show that AR-HUD technologies have undergone different stages of iterative updates and have been becoming an important development direction in the field of intelligent cockpits. In the future, with the continuous progress and optimization of autonomous driving technologies, it is expected that AR-HUD technologies will gradually become the mainstream trend of vehicle information display.
