As an important product of road freight transportation informatization, the application of network freight platform is one of the important ways to help the road freight industry achieve carbon reduction. Based on the investigation and analysis of the carbon reduction status of many network freight enterprises in China and abroad, it is concluded that the integration of logistics resources, replacement of new energy vehicles, deployment of carbon emission management system, and enterprise management carbon reduction are important ways to reduce the carbon emission of road freight. Among them, the integration of logistics resources and the replacement of new energy vehicles have great potential to develop Chinese Certified Emission Reduction (CCER) projects. At present, there is no unified calculation method for carbon emission reduction in China’s road freight industry, the development of a set of methodologies applicable to the CCER trading market at this stage can serve as a good support for the development of carbon reduction projects in the network freight platform under the CCER system.
