This paper analyses the documentary/book Le monde selon Monsanto made by Marie-Monique Robin and discusses the position and role of science communication in highly controversial and risky subjects. It concludes that the investigation and reflection based on the facts is the major role in this kind of subject, and it is one of duties for science communication in risky society to reflect the voices from those beyond science community and related groups.
This paper is to discuss the relationship between science, technology and humanity. The essence of science is to seek the truth, and the essence of technology is to be practical. While humanity focuses on the meaning and value of human existence. Natural science pursues the truth of nature, humanity science pursues the truth of human existence. The responsibility of science popularization is to unveil the mysteries of nature and explore the true meaning of life.
By analyzing the evaluation criteria of typical websites at home and abroad, and respectively introducing two evaluation criteria Systems of popular science website, this paper offers suggestions for the formulation of China's evaluation criteria of popular science website. These suggestions consist of facilitating theory researches, combinations of quantitative and qualitative approaches, and so on.
