Starting from the importance and uniqueness of chemical science popularization, and combined with years of experience in promoting chemical science popularization, the article explains the essential characteristics and fundamental tasks of chemistry as the center of modern science. Based on the analysis of typical practice cases of chemical science popularization, the article proposes suggestions for high-quality development of chemical science popularization. The article aims to provide new perspectives for chemists engaged in chemical science popularization and also providie fresh ideas for innovative development of chemical science popularization work in the context of sci-tech self-reliance and self-strengthening at higher levels.
