Focusing on the controversy raised by Lian Yue's preface to When the Sound of Color Tastes Sweet, the first book of Scientific Squirrels——a well known Chinese Science Communication NGO, this paper exhibits different ideas of science communication in this controversy, and outlines disagreement in understanding of science and science communication behind these different ideas.
