The science and technology museum is an important position for the spread of science spirit, popularization of scientific and technological knowledge, and dissemination of scientific thoughts and scientific methods. In recent years, the science and technology museum in China has developed rapidly, but there is still a great gap between China and developed countries. It is far from being able to meet the need of social development and the diverse needs of different audiences in China in the region of museum number, type, showing ideas, contents, and displaying methods. Based on present situation of scientific and technological museum at home and abroad and the problems in their development process, this paper offered some suggestions on how to promote the construction of the science and technology museum in China.
