As an independent part in the society, environmental NGOs are playing an increasingly important role, which is a new force of environmental protection. In the process of science communication, environmental NGOs awaken the people’s environmental awareness, offer advice and suggestions for the government, provide advisory services for the public and have become an effective complement to governmental work. In China, environmental NGOs, as a new organizational form, their development process will inevitably encounter some obstacles, for example, the lack of laws and regulations, funds, talents, social participation and so on. Through literature studies and qualitative survey methods, the authors have done a research on environmental NGO’s science communication activities and the status of the organizations, and give some advice about the measures of promotion.
