Outline
The harmony of city community has great influence on civilization of cities. The development of cities is restricted by citizens' scientific literacy. How to promote the citizens' scientific literacy has become an important topic which is continuously thought by popularizers of science. Through running the science shops, the Xinhua Sub-district Office of Changning District in Shanghai tries to promote public scientific literacy and meet the science popularization needs of citizens.
