As a world-class palaeobotanist and geologist, Chinese academician Prof. Li Xingxue (Lee Hsing-Hsüeh) has contributed a lot to national science popularization apart from his academic achievement in geosciences. His ideas in popularizing science are not only full of rational enlightenment in logical argumentation, but also reflect a kind of humanism spirit to strive for realism, progress vigorously, and develop harmoniously. They are highly significant for our pursuit of science popularization in the new stage.
